Dr. Maxo Joseph
Dr. Maxo Joseph was born in 1977 in Anse-à-Pitres, a city in the Southeastern region of Haiti. However, he grew up in the Dominican Republic, and while a teenager, the Lord called him to return to Haiti. In a vision, the Lord showed him how Haiti would become a “Bright Light” for the world. This vision inspired Maxo to fully commit himself to God and education. He has since earned his Doctor of Theology degree from RHEMA University. He also received Certificates in International Relations and Developmental Science from the University of Massachusetts. In addition, he recently received an Honorary Doctorate degree for his leadership from the Union of Private Universities of Haiti.
In 2004, the Holy Spirit inspired him to create the non-profit organization Vision for Haiti and for the World (VIHAMO). As Founder of VIHAMO, Dr. Maxo has traveled to various countries for conferences and other speaking engagements. He encourages people to answer the call of God on their lives, and to experience the Lord’s grace and faithfulness.
He is an ordained Minister; an Evangelist who oversees many churches in Haiti. He wrote and published three books: The Glory of God by Faith (La Gloire de Dieu par la foi), Vision for Haiti and for the World (Vision pour Haiti et Pour le Monde); and Revival: an antidote for a Zombified Society (Le reveil: un Anitidote à une société Zombifiée). He will release his new book, “Haiti Tomorrow” (Haiti Demain) during the summer of 2015.
Dr. Maxo served as a researcher and analyzed various topics concerning Haiti. He also built and launched a radio station called RadioTele VIHAMO on FM 101.1.
He currently resides in Haiti with his family.
